But I finally did it. It's all ready to go into storage.
Why am I sharing this? Well, it's a significant moment for me. Maybe because there is a bit of uncertainty as to if we will ever need that crib again. Or maybe its because the last couple of years seem like a blur and I just want it to slow down. I feel like I was so busy surviving and forging my path into mommyhood that the last two years seem almost lost. But I don't want her to grow up. Strange to say that out loud because often when I'm having a difficult day as a mom I dream of the time when my munchkins are older and less demanding. I hadn't realized it but I think I was hanging on to her being a baby and didn't want to let that go.
Now I feel like I am free to embrace her 2 year old self and enjoy how she is growing and becoming her own wonderful, beautiful, solid person. I'm going to try to not hold her back from growing and getting bigger. You know everyone says it goes by so fast, and I can atest to that. At the time it seems like you are pushing from one milestone to the next. Now I just want things to slow down and try enjoy my munchkins being small. Don't get me wrong I most definately have my struggles as a mom and I definately have my days, but I need to remind myself to enjoy them while they are so so small.
So I guess this post is a reminder to me to stop and soak up my little loves as much as I can while they are at the stage they're at. No pushing them to the next milestone or wishing they were smaller again or bigger just enjoy them as they are now in the moment and soak it up as much as I can.
